Earlier this month, David and I celebrated our ten-year wedding anniversary (!!!!!!), which is honestly shocking. How can it have already been a decade? So, as one does, I’ve been reflecting on the passage of time and all that a decade can hold, and I’m looking ahead to the next one considering what our life might look like in ten more years.
On the day of our anniversary, we spent the morning kayaking and then had a fancy dinner out.
Throughout the evening, we quizzed each other about how we had spent the previous 10 summers. What had we done on or near our anniversary each year? And what about the year before we got married?
On June 22, 2013, I went to Williamsburg, VA, to celebrate the marriage of two dear friends. I was single. Near the end of the reception, I went out to the dance floor with the rest of the single ladies and then...caught the bouquet.
On July 12, 2014, I got married.
